MY CUSTOM ACTION FIGURES: COVER GIRL

Who dare to say that 1984 Cover Girl is the ugliest GI Joe female operator? Well, the original could be a bit improved, so... I did it!
I took my "backup" 1983 Covergirl and I worked on her head, until to eliminate her sculpted hair. Than I sanded a bit her face and I gave her "new" hair (from 1984 Baroness). So I totally repainted her and I... felt in love with my new Covergirl!

MY CUSTOM ACTION FIGURES: STORM SHADOW

In my own fantastic world, Storm Shadw is a GI Joe. And just because I want figures unmasked or without berets sculpted, I gave him a new head. From Hasbro' s original "Bullhorn", sanded and repainted.

MARAUDER.INC, THE BEST WEAPON SUPPLIER

Can you start to army build without a great weapon supplier for your troops? Nope. You need the right man in the right place. So, have a look there:
http://www.marauderinc.com/servlet/StoreFront

If you need assault rifles, guns, machine guns, knife, diorama items, etc.., you can find there!!!!

MY BASIC WORKSTATION FOR CUSTOMIZING

Unfortunely, I have no so much space in my home to create a static workstation. So, when possible, I take my heavy boxes (full of spare parts, paints, tools for modding, etc...) and I put them in the little table of my kitchen, just for the time before my wife could say me: go away, dude!
No matter, I care mainly to be able to continue my little hobby!!!!

TUTORIAL: CUSTOM AND CHEAP HOLSTERS FOR ACTION FIGURES

Since I was a kid, I always prefered action figures that could keep a weapon - mainly a simple gun - in a side of the leg of the character. Sadly, most of them are without holsters or not working.
So, after a lot of years, I decided to create a valid answer to this question.
I simply take a little useless (?) razor's sheat, than I cut it to create the basic shape of the holster.
So I sand (very carefully) the leg of the character and I finally put a bit of Revell glue to fix the holster to the figure.

MY CUSTOM ACTION FIGURES: FLINT QRF

Here' s my last custom: FLINT QRF (Quick Reaction Force)

I sanded away his beret from his original sculpt, than I created his new "hair".

I also created his working holster from a common razor cap, than I created his slings for the shotgun
and for the leg holster.

Before painting I worked on Flint' s wrists, and now they can rotate and keep better his weapons.

I hope you like him!

Dai "Carmina Burana":
